Pretty in pink blossom necklace and earrings

Play up the beauty of a single blossom in a fresh necklace and earrings

A Lucite flower forms the centerpiece of this lightweight necklace. Matte flowers are available in shades like tangerine, watermelon, and raspberry blush, giving you many options! Mix things up by making the earrings a different kind of flower in a smaller size.

SUPPLIES

necklace 16–18 in. (41–46 cm)

  • 35–40 mm Lucite flower, center drilled
  • 8–9 4–5 mm round pearls
  • 15–18 in. (38–46 cm) cable chain, 3–5 mm links
  • 7–8 11⁄2-in. (3.8 cm) decorative head pins
  • 2 3–4 mm jump rings
  • lobster claw clasp
  • chainnose and roundnose pliers
  • diagonal wire cutters

earrings

  • 2 15–25 mm Lucite flowers, center drilled
  • 2 4–5 mm round pearls
  • 2 11⁄2-in. (3.8 cm) decorative head pins
  • pair of earring wires
  • chainnose and roundnose pliers
  • diagonal wire cutters

INSTRUCTIONS

Necklace

1. On a decorative head pin, string a pearl. Make a wrapped loop. Make five or six pearl units.

2. On a decorative head pin, string a pearl and the pearl units.

3. String a flower and a pearl. Make a wrapped loop. Bend the loop upward.

4. Decide how long you want your necklace to be and cut a piece of chain to that length. Open a jump ring. About 1 in. (2.5 cm) from the chain’s center, attach a link and the pendant’s loop. Close the jump ring.

5. Use a jump ring to attach the shorter end of the chain and a lobster claw clasp.

6. On a decorative head pin, string a pearl. Make the first half of a wrapped loop. Attach the dangle to the other end of chain and complete the wraps.

Earrings

1. On a decorative head pin, string a pearl and a flower. Bend the head pin upward.

2. On the end of the head pin, make a wrapped loop.

3. Open the loop of an earring wire. Attach the dangle and close the loop. Make a second earring to match the first.
Tip!
For a simpler pendant, skip the pearl units and string a crystal rondelle in the center.
