Flowing teardrops earrings

They don’t call it flexible beading wire for nothing!

Flowing teardrops earrings
Paired with an EZ-Crimp, a bit of wire curves gracefully in an amazing number of lightweight earring styles. Use small-diameter beading wire to make sure both ends fit in the crimp.

1. Cut a 6-in. (15 cm) piece of beading wire. Center: four 2 mm crystals, 3 mm crystal, 4 mm crystal, 6 mm crystal, 4 mm, 3 mm, four 2 mms.


SUPPLIES

  • 2 6 mm round crystals
  • 4 4 mm bicone crystals
  • 4 3 mm round crystals
  • 16 2 mm round crystals (Fusion Beads, fusionbeads.com)
  • flexible beading wire, .015 or thinner
  • 2 EZ-Crimps
  • pair of earring wires
  • chainnose or crimping pliers
  • diagonal wire cutters

2. String both ends through an EZ-Crimp, tightening the wire until the teardrop is the desired size. Using chainnose pliers, flatten the smooth sides of the EZ-Crimp. Trim the excess wire.

3. Open the loop of an earring wire and attach the dangle. Close the loop. Make a second earring to match the first.
