Dragonfly garden earrings

Jump rings provide a background for wired flowers and dainty charms

Lately my favorite material to work with is Lucite. I love the muted colors of these flowers and leaves. There are many ways to turn these flowers into earrings, but I like to use head pins to wire a few layered flowers onto oversized jump rings. Use a larger dragonfly pendant as the focal point in a coordinating necklace.

  • 2 12 mm Lucite flowers
  • 2 6 mm Lucite flowers
  • 2 11/0 seed beads
  • 2 20 mm dragonfly charms
  • 2 2-in.(5 cm) head pins
  • 2 12 mm jump rings
  • 2 6 mm jump rings
  • pair of earring wires
  • 2 pairs of pliers
  • diagonal wire cutters

Check your local bead store for supplies.

For the focal point of a necklace, use a larger charm and jump ring, then tie the jump ring with a piece of leather lace.
