INSTRUCTIONS

Centerpiece

1. Cut the small-link chain as necessary to remove eight intact figure-8 links.

2. Cut five 12-in. (30 cm) strands of beading wire.

3. On one strand, center the curved metal tube, and string the pendant on the tube. On each end, string seven 11/0 seed beads, one hole of a figure-8 link, seven 11/0s, a link, 13 11/0s, a link, 13 11/0s, a link, and three 11/0s. On each end, temporarily secure the beads with a Bead Stopper or a piece of tape next to the 11/0s.

4. With another strand, go through the open hole of the first link next to the tube on one side of the centerpiece. Fold the wire in half, and string 55 11/0s over both wire ends. Using both wire ends, go through the open hole of the third link from the tube on the opposite side of the centerpiece. Pick up 18 11/0s, snug up the beads to the link, and temporarily secure the wire ends. Repeat on the other side of the centerpiece.

5. With another strand, go through the open hole of the second link from the tube on one side of the centerpiece. Fold the wire in half, and string 65 11/0s over both wire ends. Using both wire ends, go through the open hole of the fourth link from the tube on the opposite side of the centerpiece. Pick up three 11/0s, snug up the beads to the link, and temporarily secure the wire ends. Repeat on the other side of the centerpiece.

Neck straps

1. Subtract the length of the centerpiece and the clasp from the overall desired length of the necklace. Cut two pieces of medium-link chain to that length.

2. On one end of the centerpiece, string a crimp bead over two strands, then go through an end link of one of the chains. Go back through the crimp bead, and crimp it (How-Tos). Repeat with the remaining three strands and the other end link of the same piece of chain. Close a crimp cover over each crimp.

3. Repeat step 2 on the other end of the centerpiece.

4. On one end of the necklace, open a jump ring and attach half of the clasp to one of the chains. Repeat on the other end of the necklace.
