Necklace 17 in. (43 cm)

  • 8–12 20 mm faceted apple beads
  • 9–11 18 mm resin die beads
  • 20–22 4 mm bicone crystals flexible beading wire,.014 or.015
  • 30–32 in. (76–81 cm) ribbon
  • 2 crimp beads
  • 2 Wire Guardians
  • 2 crimp ends
  • chainnose and roundnose pliers
  • diagonal wire cutters
  • crimping pliers (optional)
  • binder clip
  • glue, such as G-S Hypo Cement


  • 2 16–18 mm oval beads
  • 4 3 mm bicone crystals
  • 2 2-in. (5 cm) head pins
  • pair of earring wires
  • chainnose and roundnose pliers
  • diagonal wire cutters

1. Cut a piece of beading wire. String a bicone crystal, an apple bead, a bicone, and a die bead. Repeat until the strand is 12–15 in. (30–38 cm).

2. Cut a 15–16-in. (38–41 cm) piece of ribbon. Apply glue to one end and fold it in half lengthwise. Clamp the end with a binder clip and allow the glue to dry. Attach a crimp end to the glued end of the ribbon. Repeat.

  • If you use a wider ribbon, glue and fold the end more than once so it fits into the crimp end.
  • Apply clear nail polish to the loose ribbon ends to avoid fraying.

3. On each end of the beaded strand, string: bicone, crimp bead, bicone, Wire Guardian, loop of a crimp end. Go back through the beads just strung and tighten the wire. Crimp the crimp bead and trim the excess wire.

4. To wear the necklace, tie the ribbons in a bow.

1. On a head pin, string a bicone crystal, an oval bead, and a bicone. Make a wrapped loop.

2. Open the loop of an earring wire. Attach the dangle and close the loop. Make a second earring.
