Embellished pearls

1. On 1 yd. (.9 m) of Fireline, pick up a 12 mm pearl, leaving a 6-in. (15 cm) tail.

2. Pick up a repeating pattern of an 11/0 seed bead and a color A 3 mm bicone crystal five times, then pick up an 11/0. Sew through the pearl again (FIGURE 1). Repeat three times.

3. Sew through six beads in the first loop, exiting the third A. Pick up a 15/0 seed bead, a color B 3 mm bicone crystal, and a 15/0. Sew through the third A in the next loop (FIGURE 2, a–b). Pick up a 15/0, a B, and a 15/0. Sew through the third A in the first loop. Sew through the remaining beads in the first loop, the pearl, and the first six beads in the next loop (b–c).

4. Connect the remaining loops as in step 3, and end the working thread and tail.

5. Repeat steps 1–4 to make a total of six embellished pearls.

Bracelet assembly

1. Cut 12 in. (30 cm) of beading wire, and string a crimp bead and half of the clasp on one end. Go back through the crimp bead, and crimp it. Trim the tail.

2. String a 6 mm bicone crystal, an A, a 6 mm, and an embellished pearl. Repeat five times, then string a 6 mm, an A, and a 6 mm.

3. String a crimp bead and the other half of the clasp, and crimp as before.
