NBW Logo 2017
From July 29-August 6, 2017, we celebrate the third annual National Beading Week, along with our friends at The Beadworkers Guild in the UK.  During this time that has been set aside to celebrate our passion for beads, to encourage others to start beading, and to support bead businesses around the country, several jewelry designers have donated these fabulous free patterns that you can download. Make one of these projects, share it on Facebook and join in the celebration!

One of the National Beading Week ambassadors, Heather Kingsley-Heath, created these darling Beady Peeps to tie in with the logo for National Beading Week. Make one for a pendant, or make many for a unforgettable Bead Bombing chain!

Heather says this about National Beading Week:

"It's no secret that I love beads! But it goes way deeper than that — beads are my creative tool and means of self expression. And it’s not just me. Beads are a universal language reaching back through time and across many cultures. Right now bead lovers all over the world have built a community of friendship which welcomes everyone who’s tempted to pick up a needle and thread and scatter their first seed beads onto a bead mat. Established artist or absolute beginner, everyone can join in!

[This week] embraces all of that and one more thing, it’s the perfect excuse to get the beads out and party on. I'm hoping you'll all have fun beading my new National Beading week pattern on the Goodies page - let's spread the beady love!"

Be sure to check out the stunning bracelets that Heather designed for last year's NBW, too!
