Bead crochet: Bead chain stitch

Make a loop in the thread, crossing the ball end over the tail. Insert the hook in the loop, pass the yarn over the hook (Figure 1), and pull through the loop.

Slide a bead down to the hook. Pass the yarn over the hook (Figure 2), and pull through the loop.

Repeat for the desired number of chain stitches. The bead chain should curl into the shape of a crescent (Figure 3).
