Winners of BeadDreams and Metal Jewelry Artistry Awards

See what won a ribbon at the 2019 Bead&Button Show

We are pleased to announce the winners of the annual BeadDreams International Jewelry Artistry Awards and International Metal Jewelry Artistry Awards (MJAA) presented by Bead&Button magazine.

We had many submissions to this juried contest that came to us from around the world. Finalists were invited to send their pieces, that were displayed throughout the weekend at the 2019 Bead&Button Show in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Awards were announced live during the Bead&Button Show.

Awards were given in five categories!

BeadDreams
Finished Jewelry

Designers were permitted to submit jewelry of any kind or an ensemble of jewelry. Materials could include, but were not limited to, seed beads, crystals, glass beads, semi-precious stones, found objects, or other bead-related media.  

The Grand Award recipient was given a $500 Gift Certificate, sponsored by Fire Mountain Gems and Beads.
The Honorable Mention recipient was given a $250 Gift Certificate, sponsored by Fire Mountain Gems and Beads.

Objects and Accessories

Designers were permitted to submit non-jewelry items or accessories, including, but not limited to, sculptures, purses, shoes, wall hangings, dolls. Materials could be any bead-related media.

The Grand Award recipient was given a $500 Gift Certificate, sponsored by Fire Mountain Gems and Beads.
The Honorable Mention recipient was given a $250 Gift Certificate, sponsored by Fire Mountain Gems and Beads.

People’s Choice Award

This award was selected by our readership, who was able to vote either online or in person at the Bead&Button Show. 

The recipient of the People's Choice Award was given a $500 Gift Certificate, sponsored by Fire Mountain Gems and Beads. 

Metal Jewelry Artistry Awards
Metal

Designers were permitted to submit handmade jewelry, accessories, sculptures, and more, made predominantly with metal. Some cast or prefabricated elements are permitted, but the primary methods used must be in fabrication techniques.

The Grand Award recipient was given a $500 Gift Certificate, sponsored by Contenti.
The Honorable Mention recipient was given a $250 Gift Certificate, sponsored by Fire Mountain Gems and Beads.

Wire

Designers were permitted to submit jewelry, accessories, handmade beads, jewelry-related objects, and sculpture, predominantly made with wire.

The Grand Award recipient was given a $500 Gift Certificate, sponsored by Fire Mountain Gems and Beads.
The Honorable Mention recipient was given a $250 Gift Certificate, sponsored by Fire Mountain Gems and Beads.
