I have the privilege of taking classes at the Bead&Button show every year to learn new techniques and be inspired by the best teachers from around the world.

One of the classes I took was Chatelaine’s Heirloom by Helena Tang-Lim. This lantern style vessel is made from a mix of cubic right-angle weave (CRAW) and prismatic right-angle weave (PRAW). I’ve done CRAW many times but hadn’t tried PRAW yet. Helena’s instructions and illustrations were great and easy to follow, so I had no problem at all.

As you can see, I still have a way to go but I’ll get it done eventually, and hopefully mine will be as beautiful as hers.
