A handy chart for bezeling rivolis with peyote stitch

bezel counts
Even though it is only the middle of February, we are currently working on the June issue of Bead&Button, which features a bracelet designed by Cary Bruner that includes an exquisite embellished rivoli using 11/0 cylinder beads. This made me start thinking about rivolis in general.

The challenge when bezeling a rivoli with peyote stitch is guessing how many 11/0 cylinder beads are needed to start the first two rounds of peyote. The initial ring should always have an even number of beads that comfortably fit around the widest part of the rivoli. But getting the initial number correct can sometimes be frustrating.

So here is a helpful chart to use for guidance on how many 11/0 cylinder beads are generally required for the initial ring in a bezel setting with a rivoli of various sizes.
